OK not really a throwback because technically I wasn’t there lol. This was taken by my cousin. It’s the Lower Manhattan skyline on the Hudson River. I just love this picture because it’s really heartwarming how much progress the City of New York has put into the new World Trade Center, and how much the city has been able to rebound since 2001. You can’t ever knock the will of New York down.
This was the night before I beasted too hard on liquor and beer and threw up four times in the bathroom (missing the toilet badly each time), and ended up passing out before I was awoken and moved myself to the bedroom. Fun times that I still remember :)
Hurricane Sandy stuff. 2 weeks without electricity or heat. Walking around surveying damage. Driving on highways with intersections without working traffic lights just to go to Rutgers University and charge all electronics on their backup generators. Making campfires out of boredom but also to stay warm. WASTING SO MUCH GAS WAITING IN LINE TO GET GAS, AND HAVING THE GAS STATIONS RUN OUT OF GAS AND CLOSE AFTER 2 HOURS OF WAITING. Fun days.
