I finally made that Lion King blog I wanted to. But then I had to be creative, something I’m not really good at (no shame here). So then I came up with “Problems of Pride Rock,” through the viewpoint of the animals who are being pushed around by the lions. I guess I’m gonna end up role-playing :/ .
Kanye is a huge sampler, too. Not hating on him though haha. I love Kanye. But I agree — hate Pitbull, too! His songs are annoying, and I suppose it’s cos he samples mosttt unappealingly
I think Kanye knows what to do with the material he has lol, that’s why I’m not hating on him either. And also because he’s actually known to produce his own beats or musical twists with the samples he works with.
I hate Pitbull. Almost every one of his songs are stolen
word for word. beat for beat. rhythm for rhythm. It’s annoying when I’ve actually heard the original first and then hear Pitbull butcher it. I mean, I guess it’s alright if you sample songs that are relatively unknown. But Pitbull steals songs that are actually famous and butchers them beyond recognition. I mean, even the songs he’s featured in has those samples too -_-
The Anthem - Calabria (Enur)
Watagatapitusberry - Watagatapitusberry (he didn’t even bother to change the name)
Bon, Bon - We No Speak Americano (Yolanda B Cool)
Suave (Nayer’s song) - Suavemente (Elvis Crespo)
I Know You Want Me - Street Player (Chicago)
Hey Baby Drop It To The Floor - Shake It (Salt N Pepa)
Latinos in Paris - Niggas in Paris (Jay-Z and Kanye West)
On the Floor (Jennifer Lopez’s song) - Lambada (Kaoma)
I Like It (Enrique Iglesia’s song) - All Night Long (Lionel Ritchie)
that you don’t realize that the lyrics are extremely strong/provocative/offensive. Case in point: Hector Acosta - Me Voy (ft. Aventura). It’s wishing death on a cheater like “you dying is something divine and there’s no way that heaven will accept you…you’re definitely going to hell”, and saying “I hope you have bad luck and the worst will come to you.” lol wtf
but I ain’t never read the books :o. I watched the movies and I always blew them off like “meh what’s so great about this franchise.” And then I watched the last film. At midnight. On the 2nd day it was released. I think it had to do with watching the hardcore fans’ reactions to the film, from the complete dead silence after the Snape/Lily scene and me thinking “DAMN.” to some girl’s “YES!” shout after Bellatrix was killed to the thunderous applause right after the ending. But now it’s over. And I felt like I missed out lol. Now I just gotta find time to read the books. But my procrastination skills are hindering me :o.
And wtf with this fact. How do you make a baby cry in a movie? Unless it was born to act, the director probably held up a picture of Freddy Kreuger or probably took away his candy or some shit like that lol.
I know the lyrics to "I Just Can't Wait to be King" in 5 languages
English, Latin American Spanish, Castillian (Spain) Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and European Portuguese. I can only understand like 60% of written Portuguese (and 0% of spoken Portuguese), but a lot of words are similar to Spanish so I see what it means.
But the cheapest least expensive option in the back row sells for about $95.00. And I don’t think I have the bravado to wait at the TKTS line for 2 hours just for a very minute chance of actually obtaining them. I’m not mad at all.
